How Cincy Cat Connection came to be...
Creating my second chapter - pursuing a life-long passion!
From childhood to the present day, I’ve always had two distinct passions: children and animals. As a young adult, I chose to pursue my love of children and studied Early Childhood Education at The Ohio State University. I have spent the last 30 years working with children and families in the non-profit arena and in June 2024, I decided it was time to start a new chapter!
My father was a well-known Veterinarian in Cincinnati and I worked in his office throughout high school and early college. My father sparked in me a lifelong sense of wonder and a passion for animals. After much soul searching, it became clear to me that the path I was to follow for my second chapter was that of my 'other' passion - working with animals. I have spent the last 6-7 years as a kitten/cat foster for various rescue organizations and my intrigue in the rescue world has continued to grow. I met with people working in community cat programs and realized a need for an intermediary solution to move kittens/cats out of foster homes and cages where they have little to no exposure to the community, into a setting that will allow more contact with potential adopters. And Cincy Cat Connection was born!
