Introducing ME! I’m the kitten who inspired a movement
Hi, I’m Dino - foster kitten extraordinaire! My long journey wasn’t just about finding a home - it became why my foster mom, Linda, built this non-profit. I am the reason Cincy Cat Connection exists today: to ensure no cat is overlooked - like I was, to create more visibility and opportunities to engage with the public, and to connect every one of my deserving feline friends with a loving home. This is my story…
When I first came into my foster mom’s care at just 8 weeks old, I was one of three siblings full of curiosity, mischief, and potential. Linda fostered us and we thrived, played, and grew into healthy, happy kittens. Every Saturday, for some visibility, Linda took us to the foster-based rescue’s thrift shop, hoping someone would fall in love and give us a forever home.
One by one, my siblings were adopted. But not me. I was definitely a little shy but not to toot my own horn, I was a pretty amazing kitten!!
Linda and I waited patiently, week after week, but I was overlooked and unnoticed. Still, Linda saw something extraordinary in me—a spark, a charm, an amazing playfulness. When I became a ‘solo’ kitten, she opened her home completely and introduced me to her own crew of cats and dogs. That’s when my personality exploded - playful, affectionate, curious, and confident. I was everything anyone could want in a companion!
We gave it another shot at a large adoption event, but again, I was passed over. It broke Linda’s heart.
What were we missing? I needed MORE visibility! With hope and determination, Linda said goodbye to me and moved me to a larger shelter with glass rooms where my personality could truly be seen.
And finally - I was adopted. My furever home was never truly out of my reach - I just needed the added exposure to the public to get there and with Linda’s help, I got it!
I am the Cincy Cat Connection Adoption Ambassador (I like that title!) – My story is our WHY and we can’t do it without you!
Your donation will help us provide a safe, comfortable space for the public and my feline friends and most importantly, through our Paws & Play Cat Lounge, the visibility every kitten/cat needs to find their forever family. I was SO lucky - because I had someone to fight for me.
